You might ask: What’s all the fuss about “Googletestad”, a seemingly meaningless word? It all revolves around what is known in the internet marketing business as SEO or Search Engine Optimization. According to Wikipedia, Googletestad appears to stand for Google's Test Ad which is used for live testing of their AdWords and AdSense pay-per-click (PPC) advertising system. Apparently in the past months Googletestad was in the top 30 most popular phrases and gained 39,436 searches in the month of July alone. Googletestad itself began appearing in June of 2005 in top search terms for search engines, and that became obvious using keyword database sites such as Overture keyword search and WordTacker. When searching for the word in Google you will be getting the following top sponsored ad informing you that this is a family safe ad, and the systems are go.

In the month of November Wordtracker reported that GoogleStad has appeared 73268 times in their database in the past 130 days, and thus its scores 21 in the top 200 search terms.
Currently, most of the web sites that top rank for googletestad; have nothing to do with googletestad. They where created aiming to captialize on its increasing popularity. Generally, most of these sites involve SEO firms or SEO tools.
In reality no one knows for sure the truth behind googletestad. But one thing is for certain, there’s one hell of an interest revolving around it nowadays. Simply, googletestad is a very popular keyword on search engines.
